ABOUT THE BEE
The Terrell County Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, is excited to host a nonpartisan civics competition designed to inspire young Americans to actively engage in civics and make meaningful contributions to their communities. Students in grades 6th through 8th will have the opportunity to showcase their civics knowledge for a chance to earn recognition and win cash prizes. Finalists will be invited to Washington, D.C., to compete in the National Civics Bee® National Championship in the Fall of 2025. |
HOW TO ENTER
Participating is simple! Any 6th, 7th, or 8th grade student residing in Georgia with a creative idea for using civics to improve their community is encouraged to submit an essay to participate in a local competition within the state.
The application period will open in Fall of 2024 and close in Winter of 2025. We will announce the exact application deadline soon. Students should carefully review the Contest Rules and Essay Guide before applying through the following link: |
